Community pharmacists have a legal obligation to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) The DDA requires Community Pharmacists to:

  1. Take reasonable steps to change practices, policies or procedures which make it impossible or unreasonalbly difficult for a disabled person to use a service.
  2. Provide an auxilary aid or service if it would enable disabled people to use the service.
